A weekend personal project of 3D animation composited over a (crappy) live action shot. It was such a pity to dramatically lower the quality of the 3D render in order to match the poor quality of the video footage :-( Animation done in Max 2014. The scene was lit with a single HDRI and rendered with V-Ray 3.0. Textures made in Photoshop. Camera matchmoving and compositing in NukeX. Final color grading in After Effects.
This is a simulation test for an upcoming VFX shot where the Statue of Liberty is getting destroyed by ... (well you'll see by yourself soon). As the Lady Liberty is hollow, I had to build her "skeleton" and threw it into the mix as well. I hope you'll like it. Comments and suggestions are welcome!
