…aka Noel Art & Media, Ltd. , Jon Noel Shelton was born in Kansas in the 70s. He somehow landed in Lexington, KY in the early '90s. He produced an award winning public-access TV show about the Lexington art and independent film scene. The show, "Off The Air" (1998-2003) won ACE Weekly magazine's "best of Lexington" award for "Best Public Access Show" in 2001 & 2002. It was inspired by the PBS series "Alive From Off Center"… Jon is a graduate of The Bluegrass Community & Technical College Filmmaking Script to Screen certificate program, taught by Arthur Rouse. He highly recommends taking it...As an actor, cinematographer and documentarian, Jon has worked on many locally produced independent films, including the Eastern Kentucky University student slasher film "Dying To Act" (1998), was a zombie in Jerry William's "Zeppo: Sinners from Beyond the Moon", and appeared in four films with Zombie Planet International: "Zombie Planet I & II" (2004 & 2005) and "Dance With A Vampire"& "The Edison Death Machine" (2006)... In 2008, he joined the now notorious Central Kentucky Cinema Society, aka "film club" "- because our first rule was don't talk about it" ;-)… He recently shot behind the scenes footage for fellow CKCS member Ben Burke's feature "Nobody In Particular" (2013). …Jon currently resides in Kalamazoo, MI. He has recently made mixed-media music videos, that incorporate public domain and found footage. Also, cutting trailers for rare, "lost" or hard to find movies has become a personal passion. See reel for examples… As a filmmaker, Jon's motto is: "filmmaking for filmmaking's sake!"… quote: "In 2007, I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, which I feel helps to explain why I have always felt compelled to collect sounds and images." - JNS / Noel Art & Media, Ltd.
