DONNIE QUINN AND THE PRODIGIES
By Ryan Gibbons

GENRE: Comedy
LOGLINE:

Amid rumors of a reunion tour, the lead singer of a once prominent rock band sits down to discuss his band's erratic past.

SYNOPSIS:

Flamboyant, colorful, animated, these are words that don't even begin to describe Donnie Quinn as talk show host Burt Krauss soon finds out.

In one interview, the eccentric rock star tells the experienced newsman of his rise from the slums of Liverpool to the Scottish Punk Scene and all the way to the biggest stages in the world in the United States. He also speaks of why his band's success was so fleeting, and doesn't spare any details on the members of his band. The one-eyed Rick MacDowell, the talented introvert bassist and childhood friend Steve Cantu. the androgynous Robbie Flowers and their denim shorts clad manager, Andy Green.

With material ranging from pagan cults, pick pocketing, pirate battles, nearly blind Samurai sword wielding street merchants and hostage situations-- cat choirs and psychedelic drugs seem to be rather trivial components of his Rock 'n' Roll story.
