A terminally ill man recounts his life as a New York gangster to his nurse.

SYNOPSIS:

Frank Malone is an Irish/American man living in Los Angeles; he’s 83, and he has cancer.

As death approaches, Frank begins telling his young nurse, Allison Foster, about his colorful past, not sparing a detail, getting everything off his chest before the end.

Frank’s story takes him back to Belfast, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. And he revisits his relationships with burlesque dancers, drug dealers, arms dealers, pickpockets, and the woman who changed his life forever.

Frank also tells her of Emilio Evangello, the cold blooded mob boss who ran New York, and took Frank under his wing.

As Frank continues to tell his story, Allison gets a sense that despite his violent and shocking past, Frank had to endure merciless suffering to become a better man, and only the love of his life, was able to help him through.
