Maureen Cashin Bolog (Acting Coach) has owned and operated Actor’s Craft in Kenosha since April 2005. She purchased an 1863 storefront building in beautiful Downtown Kenosha, WI, which she renovated to create a 50-seat theater that also houses her acting studio, opened in February 2016. Maureen is a professional acting coach who also works with Fortune 500 companies and other professionals for public speaking and executive presence. Her acting students have landed leads in television, film and stage.
She has an M.A. in TV/Film from Northwestern University and a B.A. in Theater from Columbia College. She also studied for six years in Los Angeles with A-List acting coaches including Howard Fine, Jay Goldenberg, Margie Haber and Lawrence Parke. Certified by Ivana Chubbuck, Maureen is the ONLY acting coach in the Great Lakes area officially certified to teach The Chubbuck Technique! Maureen continues to participate in yearly training in LA to optimize class content so her students are competitive with actors on the coasts.
In October 2011, Mayor Keith Bosman appointed Maureen to the City of Kenosha Commission for the Arts, a position she served until October 2015. From 2000 - 2004, Maureen was the Founding Director of the Children's Irish Education Program (Irish School) at the Irish American Heritage Center, the first on-going Saturday morning ethnic school for Irish in the United States.
As well as coaching actors and non-actors for video, film and stage, Maureen has acted, directed and produced plays, videos, comedy nights and cultural events - working in Los Angeles, Chicago and Southern Wisconsin. Since 2001, she has lived in Kenosha with her husband and three children.
