Jonathan Pears

I am a DP based in Santa Monica. Over the last 10yrs I have worked on everything from commercials, professional sports, travel and short films. Many years working in remote locations and extreme conditions. Worked for companies such as BMW, Kia, Reebok, BBC, RedBull, Virgin America, Oakley. Sky Sports, ESPN and many more.

Since 2015 I have also acted as the head of production for a medium sized studio in Santa Monica. The duties range from day to day organization of a team and productions, to company decisions and directions.

I am an owner operator. Currently operating an Arri Alexa, with Canon CN-E PL Zooms lenses, full rigs including shoulder, crane, car mounts. Also have full lighting equipment up to Arri 2k studio lights. Also rain machine, snow machine, hazers and foggers, I experiment with it all often.
