SYNOPSIS:

Identical twins Jimmy & John Bridewell are reunited after a couple of years when their mother breaks the news that she only has a a short time left to live. The twins have led different lives as they grew up with Jimmy finding himself in psychiatric care and John becoming a wealthy PR Business executive. Jimmy's rules allow him one day a week to go out into the public to see family and 'friends'. Making use of that one day the twins decide to trade places every other week so that Jimmy can spend more time with his mum and John can rest himself after a leaving the PR company and a bitter divorce. During a trade, Jimmy finds plans that his brother intends to re-open a family run bar 'Journeys End'. Everything works out fine for a while until one of the nurses discovers their ruse. The nurse, having problems of her own, resigns. The twins plan is also sorely tested when their mother finally passes away and during one last trade, John is involved in a horrific incident at the hospital and is killed. Jimmy is left carrying Johns Identity on the outside and decides he must keep it. In doing so he carries out the final wishes of both his mother and brother and opens the bar 'Journey's End' in their memory. ___________ Below is a draft of the first act...
