UNTITLED PROJECT BY C. VAN TUNE
By André Alfa

GENRE: Comedy, Horror
LOGLINE: A 32-year-old near-virgin who lives with his mother and a gaunt 28-year old "greeter" incapable of showing emotion are co-workers at the local Happy-Saver discount store (a parody of Wal-Mart) who lead boring and dreary lives. Except for the fact that they like to kill people. But things take a turn for the worst when one of them makes the mistake of killing a co-worker and the trail leads right to them. What they do to cover their tracks leads this unlikely pair to greater danger, deeper despair and more twisted behavior than they could ever imagine!

UNTITLED PROJECT BY C. VAN TUNE

Bob and Tony live a boring and predictable existence. They eat the same food each day. Wear the same clothes each day. Work at the same mind-numbing jobs in a small town discount store each day. Boring and predictable. Except for the murder part. Bob and Tony kill people. Well, Tony does. He doesn’t like their heads. “That’s where all the trouble comes from,” allows the monotone and expressionless greeter at the Happy Saver store. Tony kills with the same non-emotion as he does everything else. Bob, however, is conflicted to the core---self-flagellating after each killing by beating himself with the severed body parts. But he also collects the heads and styles their hair in his cellar. A 32-year-old near-virgin who lives with his controlling mother, Bob has worked in Happy Saver’s noisy Toy and Pet Department for over 12 years. He scowls his way though each day in utter contempt of all humanity. Everyone, except for the young tarty blonde cashier just hired. Bob is hopelessly, helplessly, insufferably infatuated with her. Gaunt 28-year-old Tony is a man of simple needs. He lives in a public storage unit. No heat, no water, no bathroom. Perfect. Bob and Tony’s nemesis is Chuck Snyder...the store’s manager. The angriest man in American retail, Chuck hates his existence in a completely in-your-face fashion. He is also the unwitting foil to their most recent murder. Tony made the mistake of killing a co-worker. The trail leads right to them. What they do to cover their tracks takes this unlikely pair into greater danger, deeper despair, and more obtuse personality changes than they could ever imagine. The Happy Saver Murders. “Fargo” meets “Throw Momma from the Train,” but even more bizarre!
