About André

Having grown up abroad on four different continents, including Africa, Asia and Europe, André Alfa moved to the US from France and received his Bachelor degrees in Telecommunications – Television, Radio & Film – and Behavioral Psychology from Pepperdine University.

While there, he won the university’s Sundance Channel Award for Best Dramatic Short in 1999 for “Intrusion,” which he wrote and directed. Alfa went on to graduate from The Los Angeles Film School in 2001 where he directed “Broken-Mirror Music,” based on two poems and a short story by Charles Bukowski and “Pathos of Distance,” an original screenplay.

Over the next several years, Alfa worked on over thirty films in multiple capacities, including assistant director, second assistant director, script supervisor and editor as well as at various production companies.

Alfa continues to direct video and online branded content for brands and online media, writing and directing for multiple digital platforms and formats, including commercials, series, music videos & other short form content.

He has written three screenplays: a kidnapping/torture thriller and a World War 1 anti-war drama, both based on true stories, and a horror.

Alfa is currently in development on an untitled dark comedy and a horror/slasher, which will mark his feature film directorial debut.
