Forty year old pastor Lins wants to rock again like she did in college. Quite by chance, she meets Neil, who fronts a local bar band. Finally, she has an opportunity for both rock and romance. But secrets and personal issues threaten to blow everything to bits.

SYNOPSIS:

Forty-year-old Lindsay “Lins” Mitchell, an assistant minister at a medium-size church in Cuylerville, New Jersey yearns for her college days when she performed with a rock group. She gave up the band when she went off to seminary, believing that the world of rock music was incompatible with her calling to serve the church. Now she finds herself in a mid-life crisis wondering if she made the right choice. Patti, her college band mate and parishioner in Lindsay's church, invites her to spend a few days of relaxation at her shore house.

Upon arrival, Patti and Lins decide to spend an evening at the Flying Fish Club, a local bar and grill. Patti cons Lins into going on stage where she relives her glory days performing a Karaoke solo. Neil Gardner, manager of the local music store and the lead guitarist of the Flying Fish’s resident band, is impressed. He plops himself down at Lins and Patti’s table. With some prodding from Patti, Lins agrees to sing another selection, but this time with Neil. The chemistry between Neil and Lins is obvious onstage and, later, offstage. The two begin a relationship, but obstacles lie ahead.

When Lins discovers Neil’s negative feelings about church she hesitates to tell him that she serves in a church as a minister. But Neil has problems of his own: his failed marriage, a demanding ex-wife, his part time custody of a nine-year-old daughter, and a career that never seems to get off the ground dog him constantly. His most troubling concern comes back when his sister Claire returns to using heroin. Lins begins to question if she has discovered a match made in heaven or a terrible mistake.
