GENRE: Musical, Romance
LOGLINE:

With the holiday pressure in full swing, determined 30yr old, Rachel, dances with a lot of asses in her search for Astaire.

SYNOPSIS:

We meet 30yr old Rachel at everyone's favorite place: the post office. She doesn't notice the faded logo, frustrated customers, or near-postal postal workers. She sees an old man with a cane, hears boxes sliding and fingers tapping, and before we know it – a full blown musical number breaks out where colors, and joy, are restored. This happens everywhere Rachel goes...which is probably why she’s still single.

To save her from spinsterhood, Rachel’s family devotes Thanksgiving to solving her "situation". They orchestrate three blind dates (which go horribly wrong, ranging from hard-on having Tango dancers to sweat-slinging Salseros). Rachel's hopes of finding the Fred to her Ginger grow as cold as the snow on her cobblestone street.

Across town, Jaxon (Rachel's undiscovered Astaire) spends his holiday trying to convince his family he’s not gay. A writer, who occasionally breaks into a jig or tune, Jaxon often finds himself at either end of the spectrum - admired by women for his talent (as is the case with his ex-turned-stalker, Veronica) or falsely assumed homosexual. He blows off steam dancing down the same snow-dusted cobblestone...because Rachel and Jaxon are neighbors who have never met.

In this quaint, Coloradan winter wonderland they stroll through the same park, dance in the same gazebo, and volunteer in the same soup kitchen...albeit separately. But on Thanksgiving night, they meet for the first time. Sadly, it's right after Jaxon has been pepper sprayed by an elderly lady he was trying to dance with – so Rachel is merely a helpful blur. However, she does know how to finish the lyric to his song and there is a definite spark between them. Of course, that could be because the elderly lady also hit him with her taser. Who's to say?

Near misses ensue for our leading lady and gent until it looks like Fate will finally stop torturing our should-be couple and allow them to properly meet. But the playful knock at Rachel's door isn't Jaxon. It's Dominic – her professional trainer, rock climbing, god of an ex. He sings and dances his way back into her heart (honestly, who would say no to those abs?) and whisks her away to a romantic ski vacation in Vail.

Meanwhile, Jaxon realizes he must meet this woman he’s been dancing around. He writes an article for the local paper, which lands him a guest appearance on a local morning show - where he pledges to wait at “their gazebo” in the cold, every night until Christmas Eve to meet her. When Rachel returns Christmas Eve night, her sisters convince her to meet Jaxon, but as she approaches the gazebo steps - a conniving, beautiful impostor saunters up claiming to be Jaxon’s mystery woman.

Come the New Year’s Eve Gala, our destined lovers decorate the arms of the wrong people! But thanks to a twist of Fate, they finally dance in each other's arms...and just might get that magical, last first kiss.
