FEAR THE NIGHT
By William Blackmon

GENRE: Action, Horror, Thriller
LOGLINE: A year after he is killed in Afghanistan, a devoutly religious soldier comes back from the grave as a hellish monster to teach his son a lesson in faith.

SYNOPSIS:

(See http://fearthenight.blogspot.com) for info and images Chance Keller Sr., a career soldier, a faithful man, and loving father commands a US Army regiment called the Wolfhounds. Their motto; ‘We are wolfhound-Fear the Night’ is a warning to all enemies of America and for Keller a personal warning to any who would seek to harm his family. Suddenly killed by an enemy rocket attack while traveling home for Thanksgiving, Keller’s death throws his son’s faith in God and Heaven into doubt. Angry with God over his father’s death, Chance Keller Jr., doubts he will ever see his father again in the hereafter and begrudges God his loss. Chance, a history major now studying myth and religion, is conflicted between his studies and the faith that was once so strong with him. But, during the class he has on the day before the Thanksgiving break he receives a gift from his strange Goth classmate Regina who hopes to prove to Chance that being angry with God is a mistake. After traveling home for the Thanksgiving holiday on the anniversary of his father's death, Chance and his family encounter a murderous gang of 'movie monster masked' thieves who have bloody designs for the family after they are interrupted while robbing the Keller house. It will be up to Chance to reconcile with God, his faith, and the myths he has studied in order to save his family by bringing forth the monstrous, bone-crushing reincarnation of a hell-sent version of his father’s ‘Wolfhound’ to make those who seek to harm the Kellers - fear the night.
