2020 – SCREENWRITER & COMPOSER/LYRICIST - 'RUMPY PUMPY!' THE MUSICAL - Commissioned by Carnaby Films London to write the screenplay from my Stage Musical backed by Arts Council UK. 'Rumpy Pumpy!' is a comedy drama about the search by two elderly ladies from the Women's Institute who go on a worldwide search to find the 'perfect brothel.' An historical epic set in Ireland, New York and Texas which tells the tale of two Irish girls who meet up with an East Coast heiress on a wagon train and dress up as men to get hired as Cowhands, finding financial and emotional freedom out West. 2014-2017 – WRITER/COMPOSER/LYRICIST 'RUMPY PUMPY!'/ STAGE MUSICAL - Barbara's rip-roaring Musical played at The Kings Head Theatre, London, the Landor Theatre, Union Theatre, Windsor Theatre Royal to critical acclaim and was backed by the ARTS COUNCIL UK. “The seeds of an exceptionally good story are present in this nugget of WI history. 1998-2003 – FREELANCE SCRIPTWRITER – Devising and Developing TV Drama Series for Kudos TV, World Productions, Picture Palace Productions and the BBC.

1996-1997 – SCRIPT WRITER – 'SEXUAL HEALING' TV SERIES/BBC – Barbara's original Drama Series about Sex Counsellors developed by BBC BIRMINGHAM DRAMA. Wrote First Episode and devised this 8 part series. (Script and storylines available)

1995-1996 – SCREENWRITER 'MIMI' – A coming of age film over one long hot summer in Birmingham. Commissioned by MEDIA 2/EUROPEAN SCRIPT FUND. (Script available.)

1993-1995 - HEAD OF DRAMA DEVELOPMENT, MAVERICK TV, BIRMINGHAM.

1989-1992 – BBC DRAMA, BIRMINGHAM – SCRIPT EDITOR/STORY LINER – Devised the ongoing Police Drama Series, 'Dangerfield' (that ran for four seasons). Developed the two part film 'Bad Company', produced 'Seed', a BBC Film, and developed 'Rumble' – a comedy drama series. Script Edited 'Dalziel & Pascoe' films - All for the BBC.

1987-1988 – PRODUCER/DIRECTOR – 'AN EVENING WITHOUT JOHN MCCARTHY' – A BBC documentary about the Missing Beirut Hostage. Produced the TV Documentaries on Social Issues 'Gold – the First Paralympics', 'No Faith in Us', 'Care on the Cheap', 'Paralympics', 'Separate Development' - all for Channel 4 TV.

1985-1987 – RESEARCHER TV DOCUMENTARIES – Channel 4 TV.

1983-1984 – DIRECTOR - POP PROMOS – HARRY FILMS, LONDON – worked in the Music Video Industry as a Director. Began there as an Assistand Director.

1981-1983 – PRODUCTION ASSISTANT – TV COMMERCIALS. Picture Palace Productions

1980-1981 – THE TRAMSHED THEATRE – Scheduled the Acts and Scriptwriter for Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson – comedians from BBC's THE YOUNG ONES.
