S.A. UNDEAD
By Rodney Wild

GENRE: Comedy, Horror
LOGLINE: When scientists discover a way to retro-engineer viruses in attempt to reconstruct limbs and genetically tailor organs to identically match the specific genome of every wounded warrior or brain damaged soldier injured in the line of duty, regenerative medicine unlocks a secret more dark than what claws it’s way from a casket.

SYNOPSIS:

It is no secret that ranchers have been using oxblood to feed slaughter cattle for decades, but what many do not realize is that most of that oxblood has come from hoof-and-mouth herds infected with avian swine flu and hybrid strains of anthrax. The first veterinarians to encounter it mistook it for rabies, while humans who contracted it became misdiagnosed with degenerative CJD or Jakob’s Disease. Trying desperately to stop the pandemic from spreading, the DHHS secretly hires biogenetic engineers to create new domains of genetic life by removing the harmful properties of these viruses to replace with vaccinated and beneficial mutations which inoculate and affix to every cell in a subject’s body, healing all damage via reconstruction. Needless to say, the tests did not go as planned… When the outbreak becomes an epidemic and the entire city is put on lockdown, all utilities and communications are cut to protect the health, safety and well-being of our nation. Officer Greg Wild and Detective Amy Wallace knew it would only be a matter of time, yet their friends Joe, Amy and Wyatt are just now learning how necessary escape has become to their survival. We quickly enter a world where the crazed diseased outnumber us, and our own military police force all citizens into their homes. Riot police now patrol the streets as protective security officers disarm the populous for the protection of the people. Our perilous journey out of the city begins at an inner city coffee shop and ends at a Mennonite hospital in Amish country, notorious for being the place where a nun hung herself. With one of our party infected and on their death bed, some are willing to go to even the most desperate lengths to bring them back. Perhaps laughter has always been the strongest medicine and love our most potent cure, but every medication has its side effects when taken in excess and we quickly realize the very powers which brought us into this world can also wake the dead… Available for Option
