I am the voice of the voiceless. I am the nerdy black female.

Yes, I go to Lord of the Rings conventions, Dragon-Con, been trying to get into Comic-Con for
years, and any other Con that I can get to. Often times, I may be the only grain of pepper in a
bottle of salt, but this is my home and I belong here. The fact of the matter is, there are many
black females who love science fiction, horror, and fantasy. The reason they are not fully vested
in this world, the fantasy world, is because of the lack of representation. Some people cannot look
past the fact that many horror and fantasy movies are simply not diverse, so they eventually lose
interest.

Imagine this: You are child. You love this fantasy show. You love everything about it. Then you
grow up and another show comes along and you love this show too. And another. And another.
But you notice one thing constantly missing. You. Someone who looks like you. Someone you
can relate to.

That is where I come in!

Being a black female writer who loves horror and fantasy, I can implement diversity without it
seeming like it is forced or glazed over. As entertainers, it is important that we have inclusion.
Everyone deserves to have heroes in their own image.
