Carl Robertson

I am a recent iMedia graduate who is looking for any given opportunities (mainly within the North West) to gain a vast amount of experience within the media industry that will hopefully lead me to settle myself within a suitable organisation that will provide me with the chance to development myself and work in a post-production environment.
My previous educationaly years were very heavily based in the field of Fine Art, but I made the change to a more media dominated course when it came to University to not only try to expand my horizons and settle myself into another area of studies that I have been interested in, but to also try and combine both of my passions together into one collective strength.
In my final major project I constructed an interactive installation consisting of original sound, original video content that was imbedded within a tree like sculpture that was made up from human body parts through the process of body casting. Hidden inside was a projector that peered out a space within the sculpture enabling the video content to be displayed onto a nearby wall. Also circuitry within the tree connecting to certain points enabled users to touch these sensitive parts which then triggered the visuals to play.
I left the course achieving a 2:1 grade overall and proving to myself and others that I could effectively combine my knowledge and passion for art with the world of media.
