Miraj Grbic was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (Former Yugoslavia). He grew up with his younger brother Dario Grbic (Opera singer) and his parents both professors of Psychology. They never expected that the Olympic city Sarajevo in the center of Europe would be under siege, and that war would last for four years in which Miraj has spent his teenage years. After the war ended and he finished high school, Miraj entered to the respected Academy of Performing Arts, University of Sarajevo, to study acting. The program of the Academy is four years long and is based on teachings of Stanislavski, Lee Strasberg etc. While he was studying he started working at the National Theatre and in the movies and it was obvious that this is going to be one of the leading actors in the region. Right after he graduated, Miraj was employed at National Theatre Sarajevo as the first category actor. He had more than 60 premieres and played various characters in plays from Moliere, Shakespeare, Gogol, Chekhov and many others. His contribution to the National Theatre Sarajevo is outstanding. As a student he played the leading role in a movie Tunnel and until today (age of 35) he played in 25 movies in Bosnian, Croatian, Irish, Macedonian, German, Austrian, Turkish, Italian, Australian and USA productions.
His biggest international breakthrough is a role in the movie Mission Impossible-Ghost Protocol. He had played in popular TV sitcoms, and one in particular brought him regional fame, and that is Lud, Zbunjen, Normalan. He is the carrier of the Black belt in Tae Kwon Do, he is the singer and lead of the rock band "Karne", made up of actors and screenwriters. He is excellent singer, guitar player and drummer. Because of his Karate and Tae Kwon Do skills, he is doing all of his own stunts and stage fights. In the year of 2008. He married well known Croatian and Bosnian actress Marija Omaljev . Miraj is living in Los Angeles, Sarajevo, Zagreb, and Istrian coast.
