Originally from Canada. Norman moved to Chicago in 2013 and has hit the ground running, with, among others, roles in two feature films, including the lead role of Duyi in SHADOWS OF DEATH, a co-star role of Doug in a comedy pilot currently entitled NOT YOUR AVERAGE BILL, and three roles in the show MY ASIAN MOM 2014 at Chicago Dramatists, the most notable being the role of Indira, an East Indian mother...his first role performed in drag.
An actor with years of experience, Norman has had the privilege to play many lead roles in film, television, theatre, and the web. With classical theatre training as well as an improv background from IO and Second City Chicago, Norman has become a versatile actor who continues to challenge himself to find the truth in any role he is playing, be it dramatic, comedic, or otherwise.
On the writing side, Norman was selected as one of the 2011 Emerging 20 Artists at the ReelWorld Film Festival IFL during TIFF. He co-wrote a short entitled MAGICAL COINCIDENCE which premiered at the Reel Asian Film Festival in 2012 and had his first staged play UM SA DET YOONG at Chicago Dramatists in 2014.
Norman is a certified scuba diver and has also jumped out of a perfectly good plane at 4000ft by himself, not attached to anyone, and lived to tell the tale.
