About Collier

I am a practicing architect, short story writer, and future novelist; an "Architectural Storyteller" if you will. I am available to Stage 32 members to assist with any design or construction related script issues. I want to help you get the details right!

I believe that "architecture holds a thousand stories." There's a wealth of stories about architects and architecture yet to be written, filmed, and enjoyed. I want to help you capture the drama and joy embedded in these untapped stories and to help you avoid common cliches. I intend to be a needed link between the architecture profession and the entertainment industry.

I am also a Christian, a follower of Christ; if I can be of service in that regard, please let me know.

In 2016 I closed my design practice, Thousand Story Studio, and relocated to Charlotte, NC. This year I will re-purpose the website for that firm and use it to promote great architectural stories, including some of my own fiction. This will be happening at

Chloe Henderson is a passionate young woman working a dead-end job in Mississippi. One day, she receives a briefcase from her estranged grandfather, a man she never really knew and has been dead for over a year. Chloe investigates the briefcase and finds a treasure trove of UFO research, mostly old photographs. Using this evidence and the advice of a fellow enthusiast, Chloe pieces together who her grandfather was and what his research was all about, despite the tension this investigation creates in her family.
