Philipp Trauer

Philipp was born 1988 in Munich. Aged 14 and together with a friend, he shot a documentary about Alois Alzheimer and the disease he discovered. His desire to make movies was awakened. Several documentaries and internships preceded his first fictional short movie, completed when he was 18 years old, which he directed, shot and produced. Following his graduation from Gymnasium, he worked as an intern at several major productions in all kind of departments. In 2010 he studied at the New York Film Academy in NYC. After that, Philipp traveled through Brasil and South Africa and worked as a line producer back in Germany. In 2011 he started his studies at the University of Television and Film in Munich and co-founded the production company TRIMAPHILM (). With his collegues he has produced a number of short films. The latest, I REMEMBER just had it's world premiere at the 65th Berlin Intl. Film Festival.
Besides his Studies and productions, he is involved in several Workshops and projects and also co-owns GREENCAST (www.green-cast.de), a digital cinema support company.
