SYNOPSIS:

Susanne Attrice is an attractive and promiscuous 24 year old single woman who unexpectedly gets pregnant but is unaware of the identity of the father. With little money, no job prospects, and no one to turn to, she answers a newspaper ad for a rental room. She convinces the owner of the house, Vincent Lament, a naive man of the same age, to give her the room free. A few weeks later she seduces him and then convinces Vincent he is the father of the child. Reggie Lament, Vincent's father, is outraged by his son's actions, and further, suspects Susanne of shady play. He tells his son to go away for a while until things settle down. Reggie has a plan of his own to free his son of the dilemma. Vincent obediently obeys, but is unhappy about it all. He wants to be with Susanne and the child. Later on Vincent mysteriously dies in a motorcycle accident. After Susanne delivers a baby girl, she initially wants nothing to do with the infant. She is content the ordeal is over with and wants to leave the Hospital without the child. Then she has a turn of heart; she wants to be with her child; she wants to be the mother. The about turn is too late. She finds something unexpected has happened. John St. John, the Hospital Administrator, tells her the infant has been released from the Hospital in custody of the father. She knows that cannot be true, so she argues with the Administrator. In the end she is unsuccessful in convincing him that someone must have pretended to be the father. An understanding Hospital employee, Kati Ressler, chooses to help Susanne. She refers Susanne to the owner of a food bank for the homeless who gives her a decent paying job and subsidized housing. Kati also gives Susanne some clothes to wear. Lastly, Kati puts her in touch with an attorney, Ryan Williamson, her brother, who works at a law firm. Ryan's help turns cold after only a short time but he passes on to her the name of a private detective, Desert Parks, who might help. A year passes and Susanne's child is nowhere to be found. Susanne believes she has exhausted all possibilities. Desert assembles Kati, John, and Ryan to dig deeper into the situation. They uncover a horrible cover up that involves Reggie Lament, the Hospital's CEO Dr. Anthony Della Pacé, and the Hospital's Chief Attorney Eric von Fechner. As Desert's team brings together all their knowledge, skills, and abilities to cause Susanne and her child girl to be together, it proves harder than they ever imagined as Susanne interferes and shoves aside those who are willing and able to help her most. While Desert brings to justice those responsible for the child abduction, he fails to find the child. In the end The National Center for Missing and Exposed Children assists in finding the child, now named Faith, who is reunited with her mother, Susanne.
