Meryle Evans is a singer, voice actor, dancer and actor with a powerful voice, and an energetic charismatic presence.
Meryle is an evocative and animated storyteller, able to mimic and impersonate people’s mannerisms and voices seemingly with ease. Graceful and physical in acting style and sardonic in wit, she is able to portray deep emotional darkness, as well as being adept at physical comedy and satire, and everything else in between. She has a strong and unforgettable presence and a passion for performance. She is a versatile and focused actor with an enthusiastic work ethic.
Meryle’s background includes over a decade of personal vocal training from Christina James (retired head of Sheridan College’s Musical Theatre Vocal department), as well as experience in writing and choreographing vaudeville and cabaret dance acts and sketches for herself and others.
Meryle has recently graduated from Level E Second City Improv Training and is currently waiting for Second City Training’s Musical Improv Conservatory program to start. She is a pro-wrestling ring announcer, has done advertising voice work for Pier 1 imports, OLG. Tressume, Royal Winter Fair, and played several characters on the web cartoon ‘Teleporting Fat Guy’. She is a lyricist and songwriter, whose lyrics and music compositions have been used in various theatre performances. She has dance training in Jazz, modern, club style, burlesque and some ballet. Her body training includes yoga, stage combat classes, white belts in Judo and Brazillian Ju-jitsu, a year of Pro-wrestling training, and has experience handling and shooting guns.
