About Stephanie

“My grandfather was a career military man, and I remember my cousins taking me to the marine base to see “The Bird with the Crystal Plumage,” a horror/thriller film directed by Dario Argento. I was four.” It’s no wonder Moore grew up with a love of all things horror - movies, books, true crime. Stephen King was a particular favorite, as was the movie “Jaws.”

After graduating from UCLA with a degree in Political Science, Moore put that degree to no use, instead getting her start in sports television production, first with KCAL-TV and then Fox Sports Net. During a decade-long career as a Producer, Moore won two Los Angeles area Emmy Awards for writing and producing.

Since writing has always been Moore’s biggest passion, she decided to combine that with her love of film and television, giving up the security of a salaried job as a sports Producer and making the leap into writing for television and film. She is a two-time semi-finalist for the Warner Bros. Writers’ Workshop and second round selection in last year’s Austin Film Festival. Moore is proof that if you follow your heart and your gut (and work really hard), success will follow.

Unique traits: I speak Danish.
