My earlier careers as a Photographer and Feature Producer at Fox Sports Net, where I won Emmy awards for writing and producing, taught me how to tell a story visually. Now, instead of writing about sports, I write thrillers, crime dramas and horror with a dash of dramedies thrown in because life can be completely absurd, even in the darkest of circumstances.
I’m a Coverfly Endorsed Writer who has appeared on the Red List twice and have placed in numerous contests, including the finals of the Coverfly TV Pilot Script Competition. I’m also a Semi-finalist for The Script Lab’s Free Screenwriting Competition, 2nd Rounder at Austin in the TV Pilot Competition and I’ve placed in the top 5% of the Warner Brothers Writers Workshop twice. My feature screenplay, “Catfish,” won Best Screenplay at the 2022 Renegade Film Festival.
My lifelong fascination with true crime and horror started when I saw my first horror movie at four years old, (thanks to my cousins). A few years later, I became obsessed with Stephen King, classic horror novels and true crime books and never looked back. The fact that the Southern California neighborhood I grew up in was the hunting grounds for the Hillside Stranglers only fueled my fascination. I’ve always loved a good scare and have been fascinated by what makes people tick and why they commit the crimes that they do. Even more so, I marvel at how these people get caught - all the steps in the investigation, the advances in technology and police work, and how a little bit of luck can sometimes make all the difference.
A lover of Danish film and television, I learned to speak Danish on a whim so I could watch these shows in their original language.
Unique traits: I speak Danish.
