I hold a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Bi-cultural and Bilingual affairs with an emphasis on childhood education and adult ESL. I have taught video and story telling for many years while at Houston Independent School District. A co-founder of Nuestra Palabra: Latinos Writers Having Their Say. a non-profit in Houston. I've been involved in many writer groups, poetry, historical, and screenwriting classes. I also studied film making in Houston, and a former member of SWAMP. My specialty is understanding the assimilation, acculturation and sub-cultural process in the Latino community. I understand the dynamics of the Latino lexicon and how it evolves in the communication process in society.
