About Michael

My name is Michael Joy and I'm Operations Manager for the popular horror website, Horrornews.net! Alexa Rankings has HNN as the #2 horror website worldwide and we are ranked the #6 most popular horror website of all time. HNN is also in the Top 100k overall websites on the internet worldwide. I've been writing for the company since it's inception in 2008 and I've had the pleasure of representing HNN on New York City's Fox 5 News Special, "Laughing a Death, Murder in Horror-Comedies", plus Wizard World Comic Con, Philly Comic Con, and Bizarre AC. I'm also host of our podcast, "Horror News Confidential" which airs every Tuesday evening on The Totally Driven Entertainment Radio Network.

I'm also Director of Marketing for Artsploitation Films and my responsibilities include social media outreach and press releases for festival and theatrical runs as well as home entertainment releases. I've had the pleasure of working on campaigns for Vampyres, Killbillies, The Devil Lives Here, Counter-Clockwise, Deadly Virtues, and Red Christmas

I'm CEO / Owner of the horror public relations company, Marketing Macabre. My clients include Woodhaven Media (Rhode Island Production Company) where I've worked on campaigns for feature films, Anders Manor and The Santa Files. Also, The Barrington Movie Poster Shop, Gruesome Magazine, The New Screenwriter website, William Burke's Voodoo Child- Book One-Zombie Uprising, and Nick Wilkinson's Don't Look Under The F*cking Bed.

I'm CEO / Owner of Joyhorror Entertainment where I explore my talents as a screenwriter / producer. I currently have several project in-development including the highly anticipated horror movie, 'DEAD afterlife'. We have LOI's from genre icons, Michael Berryman, Bill Moseley, Kane Hodder, and professional wrestling legend, Austin Idol.

My acting resume includes roles in Martin Scorcese's Bleed For This, The Wrestler, Creed, Almost Mercy, The Kidney, and projects for History Making Productions
