With a background in physical theatre, mime and circus Chris’ work now spans whole genres from cabaret through live performance to film making. He has played in theatres and festivals around the world including stints with internationally acclaimed circus Ra Ra Zoo. He is artistic director and co-founder of Voodoo Vaudeville. He has appeared on film and TV in numerous commercials in the UK and Europe as well as making appearances on The Generation Game with Bruce Forsyth and Blue Peter. He has published one book of poetry “Blood on my Chips” and played Prodnose in Tim Burtons’ Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.. For the last decade he has been instrumental in developing performance cabaret both in London and more recently at the Komedia in Brighton. He has directed shows for many physical theatre companies and his work has appeared in the London Mime Festival and Northern Mime Festivals
Last year he recreated the classic ‘Dinner for One’ sketch for the Edinburgh festival gaining 5 star reviews. He has been a lifelong fan of the work of Jacques Tati.
He was born in Germany.
