SYNOPSIS:

Divorced for the last 11 years, Gene (42) is a local “Hot Rod Folk Hero” as is his fabled shop “The Pink Garage”. He and a friend Rod (41) have shared the shop since high school. Ben (21) the son of Gene’s failed marriage has always sought his father’s approval, but has always felt like a nuisance, or a shop hand around the garage. Ben has decided that this year he’s going to gain his father’s respect. He will use the unfinished project, a 1957 Chevy, his father was forced to leave behind in the divorce, to show his father just who he has become. The lessons Ben learned around the garage, have been burned into his memory. He will use this knowledge against the master. While rock & roll oldies play in Gene’s garage, country music fills Ben’s life. His second passion is the guitar.
