About Dan

I'm a Filipino American son of NYC. Born and raised in Queens, educated in the Bronx and Harlem, I've spent a lot of time on my bicycle as a cycle messenger since 1998 off and on. I've been told I have a nice voice and can affect different accents, but mostly I'd like to be engaged in any dramatic role which requires physical action. I would love to work in comedy as well, but have no formal training in the dramatic arts. Still, I think that given the proper instruction, guidance and exposure, I'll find myself on screen or stage soon. I've been involved with Premium Rush as a background stunt rider, summer 2011, and in Marcher, the fourth Bourne installment, as a background actor. I would like to find more work in either field, but am completely new to the game. I could use a few clues. Comments are welcome.

Unique traits: Filipino: I look Asian, or Hispanic, or Middle eastern, depending on my complexion and facial hair. I could even pass for native american if I wasn't so short. I can ride a bike through Rush hour Manhattan traffic and roll a cigarette in the rain at the same time. I also can balance with no hands on my bike at intersections. I can climb most anything barehanded. I can sing on key with a limited range. I can speak with a reasonably decent UK accent, be it Aussie or NZ-lander, or South African. Canadian or Boston accents and my NYC native drawl are easy to perform. Comically I can affect an Israeli or Arab accent. Pretty decent FOB Chinese accent. I can play the violin and rhythm guitar.
