After NASA shuts down, disillusioned astronaut Scott Adams is recruited to lead a groundbreaking project that sends preserved human remains into orbit as eternal memorials visible from Earth. But when some of the space capsules mysteriously go missing, Scott uncovers a secret that could change humanity's fate forever.
SYNOPSIS:
Scott Adams has dreamed of space since childhood, inspired by memories of his late father. His dream of becoming an astronaut is shattered when NASA abruptly shuts down due to budget cuts. Just as he struggles to find new purpose, Scott is approached by Randy Hibbs, charismatic head of Dark Space Industries, who invites him to lead an unprecedented initiative called the Space Graveyard—a celestial cemetery placing loved ones' preserved bodies in transparent capsules orbiting Earth visible through specialized telescopes.
Scott joins the team, including Rebecca Moore, a former astronaut with a troubled past. Together, they prepare for the maiden mission to deploy the first four capsules of distinguished clients, including Nobel laureates and political figures. The project promises eternal preservation of the deceased, offering comfort to grieving families.
However, a disturbing discovery shakes the program: several capsules have gone missing from their orbits without a trace. Randy reveals a shocking secret—extraterrestrial beings tasked him with salvaging humanity by selecting the best individuals to relocate to a new planet as Earth faces ecological collapse.
As Scott investigates the vanishings, he realizes this is more than a loss; it signals the start of a cosmic mystery tied to humanity’s survival. Confronted with impossible truths, he must navigate pressures from the powerful, the grieving families, and his own desire to be part of what may be mankind's last hope.
Through trials of science, loss, and hope, The Space Graveyard is a visionary story about memory, legacy, and the enduring human spirit reaching for the stars.
