Ray Ashbourne is a young artist who has just graduated from the highly acclaimed Acting & Contemporary Theatre Course at East 15 Acting School. During he's training he has worked with the likes of Steve Marmion, Johnathan Holloway, April De Angelis, Nick Philippou & Kirsty Housely. He's interests lie in devising theatre and in new writing. Currently he is Artistic Director of Dih-Sekt Theatre. He's directorial debut had a full run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011 and recieved four star reviews and was shortlisted for the NSDF Emerging Artists Award. Most recently he has led workshops at The BRIT School for Performing Arts & is planning several projects for 2012 including a new devised piece, The Common, which is set in 1987 and delves into the life of a family struggling to come to terms with what life have thrown at them on the night of one of the biggest storms this country has seen.
