2066: An ancient cryptogram in our genome reveals that humanity was genetically engineered to be the only intelligent species in the Galaxy but are we smart enough to avoid our extinction?

Anu, the legendary Sky God, monitored life on Earth since antiquity. Nine million years ago, our hominid ancestors were genetically altered to evolve into the only intelligent beings in the Milky Way Galaxy with the ultimate goal of colonizing the stars. A cryptogram was spliced into our genome for our tech-savvy descendants to eventually decode an important message about our destiny. 2063: The project becomes urgent and personal to a group of dedicated scientists who discover the cryptogram and realize the incredible implications for the future of mankind. MADISON NICHOLSON, Anthropologist, finds the cypher left by Anu and she is on a quest to break the code. ILDIKÓ VARGA, Molecular Biologist, traces the genetic trail through the human family tree. ANTHONY ERDEI, Astro-Biologist, searches for habitable worlds knowing that our days on Earth are numbered but reaching other planets is beyond our reach. GLEN STEVENSON, Theoretical Physicist, proves that we have another option. Our known Universe exists in a plethora of “dark” universes and we can instantly step into parallel worlds using quantum physics. The message in the bronze plate is finally decoded with a shocking warning: the conflict between science and religion must be resolved before we are “allowed to populate the stars”. Anu understood that all intelligent beings invent gods as a necessary step in their evolution but superstitions are eventually replaced with rationalism. Human history is filled with hatred and mayhem over ideology and this insanity must be stopped before we can propagate our species. But, humanity continues to spiral down in the fog of ignorance because many still insist on praying to imaginary deities. A fanatic fundamentalist organization, the United Trinity Alliance (UTA), is the main obstacle because they are convinced that the project is blasphemous and a sinister plot is executed against the scientists with a vengeance. We must evolve into rational and ethical beings, living as one species on one planet with respect for all life. But, time is running out. Earth is getting hotter. Global wars escalate. Toxic waste and nuclear radiation accumulates at an alarming rate. Our days are numbered. Evolution must be put on steroids through genetic engineering, if we are to survive. 2066: Ildikó and Anthony take the ultimate journey to an augmented reality in the twelfth dimension. Their total physical and mental makeup is reduced to a binary data set and virtual clones are instantly transmitted via quantum entanglement to a parallel universe where Anu is waiting. The wisdom of the cosmos is revealed. Anu used Earth as an incubator to guide humanity towards immortality where all knowledge developed by intelligent beings is conserved in a quantum state. Our contribution is a small but an important part of this cosmic data base. Filled with the awe-inspiring awareness of human responsibility, Ildikó and Anthony transition back to their earth-bound bodies. A new, intellect-based, rational being is born.
