I'm originally from Pasadena and currently live in Portland, OR. I'm a sort of multi-hyphenate in life, having been an architectural designer, opera singer, journalist, screenwriter and mom.
The real leap was from writing with the expectation of someone else producing my work to actually making my own film. I've just completed a documentary, MY SHANGHAI, about a British woman, now 94, who was a prisoner of the Japanese in WWII. Her story convinced me I had to step up and figure out how to make a film. We're set to premiere at the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival in March.
