Equally comfortable in front of or behind the camera, Justin's passion for film started at an early age.
Graduating with honors from Stevenson University with a degree in Film, he honed his skills with student projects, music videos, and independent films, applying increasingly advanced techniques, including complex special effects. Justin also began composing his own original scores for his films. He began to crew on productions in the Washington, D.C. area, including boom operator and sound recorder for "Life Fine Tuned" (Renaissance Women Productions - 2011), which has won several independent film awards.
Justin's acting break came when he was cast as one of four leads in the award-winning independent film "The Fellows Hip: Rise of the Gamers" (Opening Act Productions - 2011), playing the role of Randall Dooley, a gamer-nerd turned hero and representing the "Frodo" character from Lord Of The Rings. A highlight of Justin's acting career was working on the set with Stephen Spielberg as a Union soldier extra in "Lincoln" (2012). He has also been involved in theater acting with the Howard County Summer Theater productions since 2007. His latest role he has landed with HCST is Marius in their 2014 production of Les Miserables.
Justin's debut as a producer/director came in 2012 with the film "Made in the U.S.A. - a 30 Day Journey" for which he traveled the country for a month with the film's creator Josh Miller. In addition to the role of director, Justin was responsible for the camera work, helping to tell Josh's story.
Justin has recently been exploring the web-series concept, and is currently (July 2014) producing a series called "Genre Wars: Resistance Rising", in which he co-wrote and appears as a principal actor. The web series is now in post-production, set to be released November 2014.
