Tony KLINGer

Tony Klinger writes books, screenplays, plays and makes films. Tony was born in London. At school he won prizes for writing and with friends ran a successful underground school magazine.
By the age of 18 Tony was making films that received wide public distribution. Over a distinguished career Tony headed several media companies both in the UK and USA. He has made more than 500 media productions of all types and written articles, columns, blogs, screenplays. In 2009 the story behind the making of the film he produced about the legendary rock band, the Who, The Kids are Alright, featured in his book, Twilight of the Gods. Amongst the films he produced in various capacities include Gold, Shout at the Devil, Rachel’s Man, The Butterfly Ball, Extremes, The Festival Game, Riding High working around the world with a huge array of global stars and production talents.
Klinger ran Film Production degree and post graduate courses at the UK’s renowned Bournemouth and Northern Film Schools and was Director of the Media Production Centre at the University of East London followed by several other prestigious academic positions such as Visiting Fellow at Leeds Metropolitan University and National Secretary of AMPE.
Tony’s recent music video, Never Listen To Rumours with Honest John Plain enjoyed half a million views within weeks of it’s September 2012 release. Klinger embraces social media. Tony lives in the English countryside and is currently directing a film about his late father, the legendary film producer Michael Klinger, Mister Producer, and his novel The Butterfly Boy met with great success in 2013, to be followed in 2015 with his next book, Under Gods Table. Currently he is developing several exciting projects for publication and the screen including the film Just A Boy, based on the best selling book by Richard McCann, which he is both scripting and producing for production in 2015 as is his play; A Too Tired Heart & The Big C .
