About P.

After receiving a B.A. in studio art, Patrick spent nearly a decade honing his craft – writing and directing his own short films while working in the industry on larger scale productions. One of his early shorts, HABERDASH, was picked up for distribution by Movieola, Canada’s short film channel, after screening at the Cannes Short Film Corner in 2008. Soon after, he began directing short documentaries for NPR’s nationally-syndicated program STATE OF THE RE:UNION, the first of several productive collaborations with Al Letson. His next directorial effort, the super 8mm short film VEER!, was one of seven shorts from the U.S. selected to hold its world premiere at the Gen Art Film Festival for Emerging Talent in NYC in 2009. In 2012, he completed his feature-length adaptation of VEER! with co-writer/lead Jesse Gay. The story of a down-and-out pro skateboarder, the film toured the festival circuit throughout 2013 winning Best Florida Film at the Sunscreen Film Festival and the Skate or Die Award at the Pollygrind Underground Film Festival in Las Vegas. VEER! was picked up for distribution in 2014 and will be available later this summer through iTunes, Amazon Prime, Google Prime, Xbox, Playstation and others.

Currently, Patrick is an adjunct at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida where he teaches film production.
