My family owned and operated a movie theater that has been handed down through the generations from 1930 to the early 2000s. so you could kinda say I was born into the movies. I spent many nights accompanying my father to work where I would camp out in the balcony, watching double and sometimes even triple or quadruple features.
My love of movies eventually led me to Columbia College Chicago’s film department and later USC where I studied screenwriting, directing and producing.
Upon arriving in Los Angeles in 1999, I further studied at the Second City Training Center where I wrote and produced numerous live stage shows over the next decade.
I’ve worked and continue to work intimately with Pilar Alessandra since 2005 as a part of her private writing groups.
I’ve also been working closely with screenwriting career coach, Lee Jessup since 2014.
Although writing is my passion and I have not wavered in my commitment to the craft whatsoever – churning out more than 15 original feature scripts and pilots over the last decade, In 2007, I founded an independent film finance company (in order to finance one of my scripts) that sells shares of private equity in independent feature films to main street investors.
In 2013 I associate produced Dust Up, written and directed by Ward Roberts.
In 2014 I executive produced Bloodmoon, directed by Kenneth Kokin and written by Nicholas Kazan
