In 2005, Part 3 of the series was shown in conjunction with the Japan After Perry Exhibit at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles. Part I and Part 2 of this series were shown in conjunction with the special exhibition "Art of the Samurai: Japanese Arms and Armor, 1156–1868 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

DeSnoo is currently a member of the DGA (Directors Guild of America) and the WGA (Writerss Guild of America), and The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
