I committed myself to this career in 2014 with twenty years of professional experience in major Italian theatres as an actor and thanks to the support of leading producers such as Nicola Giuliano (The Great Beauty) and Francesco Bonsembiante (Shun Li and the Poet).
In order to make my career grow in a broader european context, I chose to live in Berlin where I immediately founded Kess Film.
The first feature film co-produced by me is "Suddenly Komir" released in 2015 under a very tight budget, thanks to our big desire to learn and to get as much experience as possible. I wrote the script of the film in which I also acted in collaboration with the director Rocco Ricciardulli.
It was premiered in 2015 at the Marché Du Film in Cannes. It was then selected at the Berlin Italian Film Festival and at the Festival Rivelazioni 2016 - the Italian cinema with a perspective from Milan, in which it was displayed at the legendary theatre Oberdan where I had always seen the greatest international cinema masterpieces.
The experience of "Suddenly Komir" strongly inspired me to keep on working in production and, in 2015, I produced my first short documentary "Dust - The wanted life", directed by Gabriele Falsetta. Supposed to be an experimental production with no big expectations, the project turned out to be a real success allowing us to access various international festivals such as the Turin Film Festival and the Chicago Underground Film Festival. The story of the eight mentally and physically challenged elderly guests in the Cottolengo Institute of Turin managed to reach the Minsk Festival and the Tripoli Festival in Lebanon too.
Now we are working hard to make that short film become my second feature film as a producer: the documentary "A private movie", first feature for Gabriele Falsetta.
Opportunities to work as a producer are constantly coming up, me and my team will soon work on the co-production of the Berlin movie "Reise nach Jerusalem" and the Italian movie: "I passi leggeri".
