About Stephen

My first introduction to ' film ' was in my final year of high school when we were the FIRST high school in all of Ontario Canada to have a film course. There were only 12 of us the first year. Rules were simple: Make a film, you get an A; don't make a film, you fail! ( oh and also if you break the $3500. 16 mm camera...you fail as well! lol) Nobody failed and we all made movies. I moved on and became a Chiropractor and for years, had that quiet dream about ' movies,' so much so that I started writing in early 2000's .... first a book on health, ( Fat to Fit, Bit by Bit) and then later a fictional novel about an end of the world prophecy. ( Cycles of Time 2012). In the process of writing that book, I took a film course to learn structure, and OMG was hooked on movies again! Since 2011, I have written 6 screenplays, all different genres and for a 3 year period was the Vice President of the Phoenix Screenwriters Association ( PSA) and have just finished that 6th screenplay ( first draft) which is an updated version of my book ...Cycles of Time. As of tonight, (April 29th) I just submitted a fantasy / drama to the Stage 32 contest, called Sole Survivor. Can't wait to see how it flies!
