SYNOPSIS:

KEEPING IN THE 90’S WGA #1117592 They say variety is the spice of life. If that is true, then you will simply adore the Rom-Com-Dram (Romantic Comedy Drama) movie "Keeping In The 90’S." This PG-13 rendering tackles homophobic demeanor, rips apart gay stereotypes, and proclaims that same sex couples should feel proud of their relationships. The two main characters are gay men. While one is a young writer (Mike Karton), the other is an older obese movie mogul (Jerry Mead). The basic story line is that it deals with the trials and tribulations of an older man who keeps a younger man, of legal age. They meet through the computer’s personals. They date for a short while. Then after Mike tells Jerry that he lost his job because all he could do is think about him, Jerry keeps him. Mike becomes Jerry’s mister-ess. From their first date, to living together and there after Mike and Jerry show that a relationship is not just sexual in nature. It encompasses romance, dating, love, admiration, and mutual respect. While Jerry has the expertise, connections, and mentoring abilities, Mike, not only is appreciative, but also makes Jerry feel young at heart. And when it comes to sex, these two characters show safe sex practices and responsibilities of said subject. The safe love scenes are carefully silhouetted. While most are accepting of Mike and Jerry’s relationship, there are those few who vocalize their disapproval. Their strong love for each other conquers all. Since no other movie has ever been done in this fashion, based upon numerous search engine groups and my internet research, there is certainly an untapped market for this type of movie. This movie is better than others on the market, since, while the characters are fictional, it is powerful story based upon true relationships. The movie is educational in many aspects. I have finished writing the sequel. These could also be a 2 part movie of the week.
