James Fernandez is a filmmaker/writer out of Algonac, MI. His interest started at age 13 when he sent an X-Men movie idea to Paramount (not understanding how that thing called "IP Law" works one bit), and instead of the form letter his mom was preparing him to receive, if anything at all, he got a letter back from Paramount story editor Louis Canfield telling him he had a lot of potential, but had to learn how to apply it correctly...and that he should do so. So I did.
From there, it would start in high school making camcorder Star Trek parodies with his buddy Jeff, move into his first produced script (an original dramatic play used by his high school for their yearly production), then into his first feature-length film "CC&RW: ...A Book by Its Cover" in 2002, his 2008 documentary "58261" (about a travelling facsimile of the Vietnam Memorial Wall and the local VFW hosting it), his original WebTV series "Vamprism Bites" (2009-present), adding regular Tyghtrope sketch comedy in 2013 to the fold.
Tyghtrope is the shingle he's done entertainment under since 2008.
