About Renate

I was born and grew up in Graz, Austria, Arnold Schwarzenegger's hometown. And just like him, I've always been drawn to America.

After studying law at Karl-Franzens University Graz, I started working for the Austrian Post where I retired after twenty five years in the company.

On my fortieth birthday - a crucial day in a woman's life - I decided to follow my passion for movies and started writing screenplays, always with the clear goal of creating characters that would be brought to a perfect life by "my inspiration" Kiefer Sutherland.

2010 I won tickets for channel Sky's VIP reception to promote the start of the eighth season of 24 in Munich. With Kiefer Sutherland in person. Oh boy! But an Icelandic volcano named Eyjafjallajökull managed to prevent our first encounter because his plane couldn't take off from London because of the volcanic ash over Europe...

All right.

2014, on Christmas Day, I read about Kiefer's Prizeo charity “A night out, if you dare, with Kiefer”.

I entered the worldwide lottery. For the more than unlikely chance of being able to meet Kiefer and talk with him about my script(s). For the more than unlikely chance... But miracles happen. And winning this meeting with Kiefer was the greatest miracle of my life.

We had a great night out together in LA and he promised to read my script.

And well, now - finally - VIENNA CALLING is in great shape.

I'm ready.
