About James

Graduated from Georgia State in 2008. My degree is in journalism, with a concentration in broadcasting and a minor degree in film and video. The show business industry has always been on my radar. I currently serve as a Streaming Operations Manager over at Paramount Plus. I love what I do for that company, but am looking to make the switch from operations to creative.

In addition to the courses I took at GSU, I have been writing multiple scripts since 2014. I've put together a pretty neat portfolio of scripts, both features and teleplays, that just need to be read by the right folks. The biggest challenge I have faced thus far has been achieving discovery of my work. I have entered a number of contests, including here on Stage 32, and have applied for fellowships and mentorships elsewhere. All, sadly, to no avail.

My goal for this new year and beyond is to color outside the lines to make myself stand out from the crowd. I'm confident I have what it takes. Now, I just need to find the right people in the industry that has as much faith in me as I do.

Unique traits: Queer fan of sports. Avid TV watcher. Music lover. Moviegoer.
