An old poet, with Alzheimer's, takes one last hike in the Grand Canyon.

SYNOPSIS:

Max Cutter, 80, will finish his poetry collection, "Vagabond," twenty years in the making, on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. But fate has other plans as memory and poetry collude to draw him into the canyon one last time. As Max retreats down the stratified layers of the canyon, his age, illness and poetic instinct gel to paint a full picture of his life. He 'meets' former wives and lovers, dead sons, a parent, as he takes control of his decline, snatching victory from defeat. Max embraces this final journey as a gift and sees the beauty of the last hike, hears the poetry of the last heartbeat and feels the moment as it comes, invariably for us all...
