LOGLINE: At a time when US Chinese relations are in meltdown, a young boy is kidnapped in Los Angeles and later found murdered in Beijing. The boy's despairing parents, John and Susan Welland, demand answers from US authorities, but FBI investigations are stifled by uncooperative Chinese officials. The only information ... an American, Peter Raines, has been arrested in China and charged with the murder. With no apparent motive, John is left confused and unconvinced. Despite travel warnings, he journeys to China intent on confronting the accused killer. However, his attempt proves futile, and it's not until he locates Raines' son in a Los Angeles hospital that he discovers the horrid truth ... not only the reason why his son was killed, but also the insidious workings of a barbaric cartel trading human organs on China's black market. An organization known as The Trade. With the help of former Trade whistle-blower, Dr George Ling, John embarks on a dangerous and covert mission to locate the cartel's broker responsible for his son's murder. But, all goes terribly wrong. And when John is imprisoned in a Chinese labor camp and becomes the latest addition to the cartel's inventory, his quest for truth and justice turns into a desperate fight for survival ...
