SYNOPSIS

In 1957, after the success of the first launch of a satellite to the space realized by the Soviet Union, then Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev orders to make a new launching more spectacular to demonstrate the power of Russia to the world, and to the Americans. In the short time available to meet the wishes of Khrushchev the Russian Space program manager Sergey Korolev proposed to send a dog to space. But as at that time there was not enough technology to guarantee the return of the animal, this would be sent to a certain death. Among the dogs that trained for this mission, was chosen a little female mongrel street dog very good and very quiet of which nobody knew anything that they called Laika. Her incredible odyssey began a cold Moscow autumn of 1957 and had, as they say, only three years. This is her true story and what has not been told about it
