LOGLINE:

"Loneliness" talks about a man who everyone believes being alone and distressed because of the abandonment of his wife. In reality, the main character, you'll find out in the end, he killed his wife feeding her to the stray dogs near the house.

SYNOPSIS:

LONELINESS - SYNOPSIS

For some months Antonio lives alone. He scarcely leaves the house.

In the town, everyone thinks that he is gone mad after the sudden disappearance of his wife. She, overnight, made him lose her tracks.

The only thought of Antonio is to feed meat to stray dogs near his house. He wants to get rid of the residues of it that he stores in his refrigerator.

After a long time, he decides to get out for a walk in the small seaside village of Salento.

People, who observe him, appear to be surprised to see him around again.

Antonio meets a friend with the son, then he comes home where prepares lunch for himself.

In the afternoon, Antonio is usually sit on the balcony of his house that overlooks on the sea. Drinking whiskey and smoking a cigarette while waiting for his friends, the stray dogs of the area that they come back to him to demand food.

This happens regularly.

Antonio hears scratching at the door.

He walks into the kitchen, opens the freezer, pulls the meat out and cuts a large piece of it. Then, he brings the meat to his animals that wait out.

But from the paper bag that wraps around the meat, rolls out a woman's severed finger. His wife is not disappeared, she's just in his freezer.
