A crumbling estate that has hidden atrocities for more than a hundred years, a stop on the Underground Railroad meant to guide slaves to freedom and hope instead became the site of some of the worst abuses of human beings in the history of New England. Lt. Jeffrey Boyd, a detective agrees to accompany Lyric back to the house, the site of Jak’s encounter with the lifeless slaves that ended with his death. A surprise guide joins them at the insistence of Lt. Boyd: Harrison Dunwoodie. We learn that he is a descendant of the slave ship captain that brought the doomed souls onto American soil and sealed their fates. Lt. Boyd and Lyric succeed in sending the dead to rest. Lyric returns to her life, Michaela is saved, there might even be a future for the widow and the brave cop. Lyric is returning home from work and witnesses a fiery crash.
