SYNOPSIS:

Reckless British soldier LUCAS OWENS discovers a classified Ministry of Defence file revealing that ten caches of gold bullion were secretly dispersed across Britain during the Blitz—and one was never recovered. Convinced the missing fortune is buried in the Scottish Highlands, Lucas goes A.W.O.L. and reunites four estranged friends for one last life-changing adventure: heartbroken Jonah, volatile Nick, capable outdoorsman Ed and class clown Leo. But Lucas has neglected to mention that the gold lies beyond an electrified fence on private land.

The wilderness belongs to the APEX SOCIETY, a centuries-old organisation hosting an exclusive blood sport for five wealthy clients. Glampers have been planted across the estate as human bait, armed guards control the perimeter and something primal is being drawn from caves beneath the forest. When Lucas and his friends trespass into the middle of the hunt, the Society marks them as additional prey—and the creatures begin hunting outside their expected territory.

Separated and pursued from every direction, the friends are forced to fight their way back to one another. Ed is killed. Lucas and Nick are captured and tied beneath the Devil’s Bell as bait, while Jonah and Leo join forces with DEVLIN, a wounded Interpol operative carrying evidence of the Society’s international hunting network. But when the Apex Society gathers for its final spectacle, Lucas reveals what its arrogant organisers have failed to understand: there isn’t only one creature in the forest.

The hunt collapses into all-out carnage as the creatures overwhelm their hunters and Devlin ignites the methane running beneath the estate. Devlin and Leo sacrifice themselves while Lucas, Nick and Jonah race through a forest exploding and collapsing around them.
