About Keith

KEITH HARRISON DWORKIN is a musical wizard whose work has been heard in stage and screen productions spanning a wide variety of genres and formats. He arranged and music directed the 2021 film Cinderella starring Camila Cabello, Idina Menzel and Billy Porter; co-wrote the songs for the animated feature UglyDolls (Academy Award shortlisted, Best Original Song for Janelle Monae & Kelly Clarkson's "Unbreakable"); served as Meryl Streep, James Corden and Andrew Rannells' vocal coach in Ryan Murphy’s The Prom; re-conceived and remixed Tchaikovsky’s classic score as Executive Music Director for Disney’s The Hip Hop Nutcracker featuring Rev Run; and composed both songs and score for the lauded indie feature The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Special starring RuPaul's Drag Race royalty Jinkx Monsoon and BenDeLaCreme. Keith has produced fan-favorite musical segments on narrative series including American Horror Story, Grace & Frankie, The Politician, Kidding, Claws, Life In Pieces, 9-1-1 and more. As arranger, music director and producer he has created many memorable live TV moments on shows including American Idol, The Daytime Emmy Awards, The Radio Disney Music Awards, Access Live, Amazon Music’s Prime Day Show, and the 2021 U.S. Presidential Inauguration. Keith stars as himself in Netflix’s emotional reality series Westside, coaching nine struggling music artists as they navigate the highs and lows of pursuing their Hollywood dreams. A veteran of the theatre, on stage and off, he was a member of the original Chicago cast of the Tony Award-winning musical Million Dollar Quartet; was a Joseph Jefferson Award nominee for co-adapting Rodgers & Hart’s The Boys From Syracuse; received an Ovation Award nomination for music directing and arranging Spencer Liff’s production of Singin’ In The Rain; and his original musical Emojiland was a New York Times Critics Pick Off-Broadway, garnering several award nominations and wins before being shut down by the pandemic. He is the co-creator and music producer of superstar Donny Osmond’s hit mainstage show at Harrah’s Las Vegas; and is currently songwriter for the newly-released Disney Junior animated series SuperKitties. An alumni of Northwestern University, where he received the William Daniels Award for Best Musical Direction, Keith is an arts educator and coach, having taught at the University of Southern California, the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Theatre of Arts, and CLI Studios. Keith is a proud member of the Recording Academy, and a GRAMMY U mentor. Originally from Springfield, NJ, he is based in Los Angeles, where he lives with his wife Charmaine and son Kilanu.
